To be eligible to join Tickets for Good under our charities platform, the organisation you work or volunteer with must be established for exclusively charitable purposes and must provide a clear public benefit. We will only accept registered, excepted, and exempt charities recognised by HMRC as a charity but which are not registered with a UK charity regulator.
As standard, we do not onboard CICs to Tickets for Good; however, at our discretion, we will endeavour to review applications from CICs where possible. We will only consider onboarding a CIC if the requirements listed below are satisfied.
To confirm your organisation’s eligibility, Tickets for Good will need to be satisfied that the relevant criteria are met.
1. Your organisation is registered with the Charities Commission for England and Wales, OSCR or CCNI and will be identifiable by a unique registration number which can be searched for on the relevant online register, and
2. Your organisation is not under any official investigation.
1. Your organisation is recognised by HMRC as a charity for tax purposes and you can therefore show that:
a. Your organisation is named in Schedule 3 of the Charities Act 2011 (including registered societies who are also private registered providers of social housing), or
b. You can provide a copy of official documentation showing your allocated unique charity tax reference number (usually beginning with ‘X’), or
c. You can provide a copy of your official HMRC recognition letter, or
d. You can provide written confirmation from your principal regulator to confirm charitable status.
1. Your organisation’s income is less than £100,000, and
2. Your organisation falls within one of the following categories:
a. churches and chapels belonging to some Christian denominations
b. charities that provide premises for some types of schools
c. Scout and Guide groups
d. charitable service funds of the armed forces
e. student unions
1. On Companies House, your company details show that your organisation:
a. is active, and
b. has been registered for 1+ years, and
c. has up to date accounts.
2. Your CIC has an active online presence that shows community benefit activity: website, Facebook etc. We appreciate that this will be minimal for smaller CICs.
3. Your CIC has an identifiable official email contact e.g. not a generic joe.bloggs@gmail.com email. Ideally, has a unique email domain.
These requirements are set by Tickets for Good as a means of ensuring only legitimate organisations are able to benefit in line with our values, mission, and commitment to our event partners. We reserve the right to decline your application if we do not believe that our criteria has been sufficiently met.
